Our Samaritan Services group is ready and willing to help! If you know of any homebound parishioners who need any of the following services, please call Lisa Korosy at 823-1040. Some examples of services provided -- transportation, errands, repairs, paperwork, meals, yardwork, housework, visitors and others.

Church Bequest: The wise person knows that an estate plan helps to provide for oneself, loved ones and favorite charitable interests when they or their families no longer need certain assets. When planning your future and composing a will or trust, in your generosity would you please consider including Regina Coeli parish and its needs? Through the years our parish has been the beneficiary of such forsightedness and these gifts have been a blessing. Thank you very much, Fr. Mike.

How can you support Catholic Education? Our Regina Coeli/St. Joseph Endowment Fund is a great way to reach out to those children of our parishes who would like to attend or currently attend our school. If you would like to donate, please contact the school office or send your donation to the school: attn: Claire Valentino.

If you know of someone who is unable to attend church and would like to have communion brought to his or her home by the Chaplaincy Team, please notify the rectory, or call Bill and Lisa Korosy at 823-1040.

Prayer Group: Have you forgotten about us? The Prayer Group is still active and waiting for your petitions. If you have any special prayer needs, know of someone who would like our prayers, or if you would like to join us, please call Angela Bishop at 821-7052 or Evelyn Brienza at 821-3958.

Don't forget to bring your non-perishable food item each week when you come to Mass. This is a great way to reach out to our community and follow Jesus' teaching to feed the hungry.

Bulletin Policy: The deadline for bulletin items is noon Friday, one week before publishing date. If a holiday falls within that period, the deadline is noon Thursday. All information should be typed or printed, including a contact name and phone number of group or individual submitting the information. Articles may be edited for content and length due to limited space. Thank you for your cooperation.

Attention Parents and Grandparents: Some good Catholic fun for the children can be found on the internet web site of the Daughters of St. Paul. Long on to www.myfriendmagazine.org/parents click on Kids and select Fun & Games. You'll love it and so will the kids. It's just delightful.

Preparation of the Altar and Gifts: Please note: you will find an open binder on the altar in the chapel area, in front of the St. Joseph statue. In it is a listing of the Mass intentions for each weekend Mass for the coming months. We ask that the family of those for whom the Mass is intended first be offered the opportunity to bring forth the gifts of bread, wine and the offertory basket. Please sign your name/Family on the line next to that Mass time. When the intention is for the living and deceased of our parish, any person/family can bring up the gifts. Please let the ushers at that Mass know that you are at Mass and will be bringing up the gifts. To all our parishioners who have indicated on their Mass Request Form(s) that, they will be a Gift Bearer, please be sure to fill in the open binder also. Thank you.

Cry Room: The glassed-in room at the center of the church is for parents with small children who could possibly distract other worshipers. The room is not for teens or adults or those who come in late. Nor is the room for playing or noisemaking; it is still a room for the parents to pray and participate in the Mass while trying to keep their children quiet. IF you child is CRYING or making noise, that is probably a signal from God to take a walk outside (especially during the homily). Thank you.

Important Reminder: Please contact the parish office (either by mail, phone or dropping a notice in the collection basket) when changing address or phone number or any other important information. We usually are not informed until mail comes back "undeliverable". We cannot stress enough the importance of being notified. Thanks for your help in this matter.

ARE YOU A REGISTERED PARISHIONER? Many times you come to worship with us and drop an offering in the collection, but do you consider yourself a parishioner? A registered parishioner is someone who has completed a registration form in the Parish Office and regularly receives weekly offertory envelopes and various other mailings. If you have not registered here at Regina Coeli we invite you to contact the Parish Office at 330-821- 5880 for more information.

We are constantly trying to update our files and in doing so, hope to reduce our costs of mailing out contribution envelopes. It saves a lot of time and money with just a call or note of any changes in your household such as: address, phone #, etc. ALSO, anyone who would like to become a parishioner of Regina Coeli, simply call the church office to register - 821-5880. This also applies to anyone getting married here at Regina Coeli and wants to become a member or remain a member after your marriage, anyone coming out of the RCIA program who wants to become a member or remain a member, and young adults should also register on their own separate from their parents. Thank you.

School Closing and Morning Mass When the weather changes, schools close because of the concern for our children that they will not be hurt trying to negotiate snow and ice covered driveways and walkways. So too, we have the same concern for our parishioners. We don’t want anyone to get hurt trying to get to 8:30 Mass. Therefore, if school is closed or delayed, the Church Office is closed and 8:30 Mass will be cancelled.

We are in need of additional Eucharistic ministers to help distribute communion at the 4:00 Saturday Mass. If you would be interested in this ministry, please call the church office. A training session will take place following the holidays.

Our group meets on the 1st Saturday of each month at Regina Coeli Church and we would welcome your participation. We begin with refreshments from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. and conclude the meeting by 10:30 a.m. It is a great opportunity to share your faith, your thoughts, and any needs you may have, with other men of your religion. At the present time, our source of discussion material is from a book tilted Signposts: How to Be a Catholic Man in the World Today. It is a very positive affirmation of Catholic teaching and serves as a practical guide to enable men of faith not only to live, but to practice the fullness of their Catholic faith. The examples presented in this book, relate directly to some of the many situations that we encounter in our daily lives. Please join with us and allow yourself the opportunity to share your Catholic faith. Again, we meet at Regina Coeli on the first Saturday of each month, gathering at 8:30 a.m. in the teacher’s lounge and concluding no lather than 10:30 a.m.

In the hallway you will find a display of CD’s on different topics of our faith. The cost of each CD is $3.00. It is our hope that you will listen to these CD’s and then pass them on to friends and relatives, especially those who have fallen away from the church.

Prayer to the Guardian Angel of the United States O glorious Guardian Angel of the United States, to whom God has entrusted the care of our beloved country, we honor you and thank you for the care and protection you have given to this great nation from the first moment of its conception. O powerful Angel Guardian, whose watchful glance encompasses this vast land from shore to shore, we know that our sins have grieved God and marred the beauty of our heritage. Pray for us, O Holy Angel, before the throne of God. Obtain for us, from the Queen of Heaven, the graces we need to overcome the forces of evil so rampant in our beloved land. Help us, our God-given protector and friend, to offer the prayer and sacrifice necessary to bring peace and goodness to our nation. We want to make you known and loved throughout our land, so that with your help we may become once more one nation under God. Amen.
