Rev. Mike Seifert





Fr. Seifert began his new assignment as pastor of Regina Coeli February 2, 2004.

Fr. Seifert, a native of Massillon, was born December 11, 1946, is one of nine children of Joseph and Mary Martin Seifert. He graduated from St. Mary School, Massillon, Tuslaw High School, the Ohio Institute of business in Wooster and earned a bachelor's in business administration from Kent State prior to studying for the priesthood. He completed his master's of divinity from Mount St. Mary's of the West Seminary, Cincinnati and was ordained June 23, 1984, in St. Columba Cathedral by Bishop James W. Malone. Prior to entering the seminary, Fr. Seifert served two years in the U.S. Army in Germany and worked in the insurance business in Canton. He also attended Walsh College and Bowling Green University and has served as chaplain at Bethesda Hospital in Cincinnati and as a past member of the Priest Personnel Board in the Youngstown Diocese. In addition to his duties here at Regina Coeli he has been assigned by Bishop Tobin to a special ministry for Catholic students at Mount Union College.
